Why are your prices so cheap?

Onlinecarpet is an online business model set up without the large overheads.  We offer a user pays service, clients pay a deposit for the on-site measure ($150), we don't offer builders 30 day accounts and we don't have sales staff getting paid large commissions.  These savings are reflected in our pricing and we pass that on to you.

Is my $150 deposit refundable?

We will refund your $150 deposit within 48hrs. All you need to do is send us a copy of the tax invoice detailing the product purchased at a lower price than quoted by us. You have nothing to lose shopping at Onlinecarpet.com.au

How can I view carpet samples?

Onlinecarpet can bring samples to you at the time of the onsite measure or alternatively if you live in Melbourne, Geelong or Sydney, we have a huge range of carpet samples that are available for loan from our showrooms.

Why do some carpets have 2 names?

Many retailers will alter labelling of products to make them more difficult for you to compare prices and shop around. If you can not find the product or colour you are looking for, either try the keyword search or contact us and we will be more that happy to assist.

How long do I have to wait to get my carpet laid?

It's best to allow at least 2 - 3 weeks depending on the availability of the stock. However if you need carpet in a hurry or you are planning to order carpet well in advance we will do our best to suit your requirements.

Sometime the requested carpet is not available from our suppliers. This may be due to the product being out of stock or a production delay. In these cases we will notify you of the delay and the reason. We may also suggest similar products that are available if the delay is unacceptable to you.

We will at all time do our best to negotiate the best outcome for our client, YOU!

How do I pay for my carpet & installation?

Once you job has been measured and you have received your quote from Onlinecarpet, you can now complete the purchase by selecting 'Complete Order' on the quote page.

You can elect to pay for the carpet only component of the job (less your $150 deposit already paid) either online via our secure payment gateway or select 'Offline' and transfer funds via EFT. We also accept cheques and cash.

At this time your tax invoice and receipts can be printed, you will also receive another copy via email.

On the day of installation the cost of the installation will need to be paid directly to the installers upon satisfactory completion of the job. You will be advised at the time of making the purchase the amount to be paid. We accept payments by Cash, Direct Transfer, Bank Cheque, Visa and MasterCard.

How do I 'Compare' carpets?

Onlinecarpet has  'Compare' functionality. This is an excellent way of creating a shortlist of various products that you are interested in and eliminating products that don't make the grade!

Select the green +add to compare list  button on the range cards. these will be stored and can be reviewed by selecting 'Compare List' on the navigation bar.

Use the Remove button to eliminate products.  This Compare List can also be emailed to a friend or printed.

If you are likely to be a regular purchasers, you can apply to Onlinecarpet to become a registered client. This will enable you to login and book a measure and quote without paying the $150 each time. Contact us to see if you qualify.

Onsite Measure

Once a booking is made, Onlinecarpet will contact you withing 24hrs to arrange a suitable time to measure the job and bring samples.

 

Typically, measures are conducted between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday and will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the size of the project.

 

If a mutually suitable time can not be agreed upon, the deposit will be refunded and the measure cancelled.

 

Onlinecarpet will make every reasonable effort to arrive on time, however traffic and other unforseen factors may delay our arrival on some occasions. Onlinecarpet will attempt to contact you in advance should this occour.
