Quick Estimate
To get a quick estimate of the area to be carpeted in Square Meters, try using this simple formula.
As carpet is sold by the Lineal Meter, it is advisable to allow 5% to calculations made using square meters
Length in Meters X Width in Meters
5.0mt x 4.mt = 20 sq mts (+5%)
= 21 Square Meters
Quick Estimate for more than 4 walls
If the room has more than 4 walls, divide room into
sections and add results together.
Length X Width plus Length X Width
5.0mt x 4.mt = 20 sq mts plus
3.0mt x 1.5.mt = 4.5 sq mts
Total = 24.5 sq mts (+ 5%)
= 26 Square Meters
